About Catherine

Catherine started riding at 8 years old in western Washington state. She was taught a strong foundation in classical dressage and biomechanics, mastering essential skills to move up the levels in and out of the saddle. She worked for her first instructor as a working student for almost 7 years before moving to Las Vegas in summer of 2020.

Searching for a place to continue riding and learning she rode with Dawna Kuhlmey and Lyndsi Hardin until winter of 2020 before she began riding with Pearlie Rohrbacher. Since then she has been riding with and learning from Pearlie and her extensive knowledge and skill set, learning a variety of important training skills. She has ridden and worked with young and old, difficult and easy horses, and does it for the love of the animal. Her goal is to relay the importance and skills of a constant and consistent communication with the horse whether that be through riding, handling, or spending time with them.

Looking for a career path that involved horses and medicine- equine veterinarian emerged as the one. When she isn’t at the barn, she is in school completing her bachelors to eventually move on to vet school! She looks forward to helping horses and animals in need.

She has shown up to Third Level and teaches classical dressage with a focus on the importance of mastering basics, rider position, and horse and rider connection to move up the training scale.
