About Tiffany

Tiffany Carlotti started her equestrian career at the age of seven years old as a hunter jumper. She was first instructed by her father who also was a jumper and a polo player. After four years of jumping and competing in hunt seat equitation on a leased horse named Blossom, she received a Polish Arabian named Dobre as a birthday gift. This was the gateway into a career as a young girl working with Arabians. Dobre was a third level dressage horse who Tifanny competed with at Arabian Nationals two years in a row in equitation, saddle seat and western pleasure. At the age of thirteen Tiffany became a working student for her instructor Patty Shields and helped train and ride the Arabians and Morgans in her training program. She also worked at an Arabian breeding ranch in Sand Canyon, California as an exercise rider for pregnant mares.
In college Tiffany joined a top competing vaulting club called NuBalance in Sacramento, California. Her fierce dedication allowed her to train and get accepted on the gold level vaulting team and compete at the FEI level for a chance to represent the USA at WEG Aachen. Even though the team did not make the cut, Tiffany competed at many national shows receiving first place in individual freestyle and gold team freestyle.
In 2016 Tiffany returned to the horse world but this time in the Dressage court. With the encouragement of her older sister who is a Dressage rider and Advanced Instructor, Tiffany gave Dressage a try and fell in love with the sport instantly! With her background in horse and rider biomechanics, dressage felt like home. Now Tiffany competes and rides at a bronze level and she hopes to continue her dressage journey all the way to gold. Her teaching style is a more classic style that helps the horse and rider find a partnership with accurate use of the rider’s aids. Her goal is to help her students understand how their bodies affect the movement of the horse. Ultimately she teaches how the horse and rider can create clear lines of communication during a ride. When Tiffany isn’t teaching she continues her education by attending clinics by top gold medalists and has developed an online fitness program for equestrians. Her program is designed to help equestrians become stronger riders through specifically targeted exercises off the horse.
